To be a volunteer with VSWater (EVAgua):
Please contact us, with a copy of your CV, telling us why do you want to volunteer with this program, what strengths you can offer, and how long would you wish to be involved (min 1.5 months, up to 3 months); also, if you have questions you are welcome to ask us. We expect a minimum of 4 hrs daily net time devoted to the program, Monday to Saturday, and a time compensation if unexpected circumstances do not allow a daily work to be done. It is compulsory for the volunteer to have a minimum intermediate Spanish language knowledge, due to obvious need to communicate with locals along the program.
In exchange, we offer a week of training, accommodation in a dorm bed and breakfast (b&b), and a permanent support for anything needed during the volunteering period, which of course includes our advice and company to make this experience a great one, and a win-win relation for all of us and for the community & ecosystems we seek to benefit. All other costs must be covered by the candidate. You may also find ways to exchange volunteering activities with others, like lunch or dinner in exchange for some English or other language classes, or even something else from your own skills (e.g. music, arts, sports).
Volunteers that come to VSWater project through certain international exchange organizations for mid & long term volunteering periods are more than welcome too, since our program can contribute to the aims of other programs too. That's the case for AFS Intercultural Programs, one of our main allies.
Again, please contact us to discuss the details, whether you are the volunteer candidate, or the exchange organization.
